Usual Feng Shui trees

From Feng Shui aspect, it is not recommanded that man lives beside/in froest or a place surrounded by high and intensive plants, because the plants hinder inntake of Yang (Sunlight) and cause that Yin in the environments are too strong. In practice, the places with intensive plants can be too moist. On another side, these places can be ideal hidding places for snakes or other dangerous animals. With similiar reasons, it is not recommanded that man plants too many trees around home. However, it can be very delightful and healthy to have a few trees. In Chinese culture, some kinds of trees are thought as Feng Shui trees. These trees are beautiful and have some other functions, such as bringing certain economic return, representing positive interest/wish of the host, providing aromatic smell, etc.

1. Palm
The hair of palms can be used to make medicine against uterine bleeding, and can be used to make pads. Palm oil is one of the three kinds of most important plant oil in the world.

2. Orange tree
Oranges symbolize good wealth luck.

3. Bamboo
Bamboo symoblize elegance and prosperity.

4. Chinese toon
Chinese toons symbolize "longivity".

5. Locust tree
Locust trees are high and strong. They symbolize high status. They are also thought to have function of protecting the household from evil power.

6. Cherry bay
The branches of Cherry bays can be used to make medicine against rheumatism. The blossoms of cherry bays have pleasant aromatic smell.

7. Ulm tree
Ulm trees blossom in winter. The blossoms are aromatic and beautiful. They symbolize "honourable".

8. Banyan tree
Banyan trees are high and strong. They symbolize "forgivable".

9. Jujube tree
Jujube trees symbolize "easy to get child".

10. Pomegranate
Pomegranate trees symbolize "big family".

11. Grape tree
Grape trees symbolize "intimity".
